Pale copper color. Hyper aromatic, with abundant malty notes, maple syrup, and ample exotic wood. Extravagantly perfumed on the palate, this ends with a lingering burn. There’s a mix of American white oak and ex-Bourbon barrels here, with a real intensity of aromatic and gustatory character. However, the elements don’t fully knit together, with the overall effect being somewhat disorienting. I’ve still yet to have a Mars malt that charmed me.
