Half of the grapes used for this wine were sun-dried into raisins before crush and maceration. Aged for 16 months in oak barrels. Tasted blind in VV. Youthful, very dense and fully opaque black-purple color. Surprisingly restrained, nondescript and borderline mute nose with vague, slightly dark-toned aromas of very ripe plums and some jammy blackberries. Overall the nose feels rather dull.
