Really rather good Lots of tobacco and fresh fruit tannins fading but still some structure A hint of VA but generally aging gracefully This is much better than I thought it would be No hurry to drink.

Pale ruby in color. Black currant, leather and pepper on the nose. Mild fruitiness on the palate with a slight pepper hint. Pretty simple flavors and slightly tannic at the end. Not overbearing, just there. Pretty simple wine so its hard to give it a bad score. So, I guess I'd call it good.

Not going to beat around the bush. This wine has a bold dark cherry taste but finishes with a chalky dirty bath water note.

Decanted through venturi more than three hours ahead. Deep ruby color. Blackberries on the nose and the palate. Tannins, still present, seemed unintrusive despite the relative youth, presumably thanks to the long decant. Paired well with both roast lamb as well as with cheese course.

served with a nice angus tenderloin. Poured through vinturi after initial taste. Tannic, opening to beef and leather with some mineral notes. Restrained. Overall nice nose w/ indeterminate floral and (berry?) notes. Not a great wine for steak but nice overall.

In the glass shows deep garnet. Aromas of bramble fruit, fired pottery and superglue. Palette leather, warm blackberry, bread. Long, rather doughy finish propped up by silky tannins. Pair with hard cheeses, roasted meats, chickpeas, mild peppers.
