Domaine François Buffet Volnay 1er Cru Clos de la Rougeotte

This was very good, like a slightly more serious and adulty version of the 2018. Less juicy fruit and more subtlety. It does have some CO2 but low enough to manage with swirling instead of heavy shaking. It's mild and finessed, mild red-toned fruit flecked with crushed stones and soft, felt-like tannin. Not profound, but satisfying and very drinkable, and at a price point where Volnay just doesn't exist anymore.
