One note of muddy cherry. No depth. no complexity. Very uninspiring. Drinkable but not enjoyable. Might be better suited for a sauce or stew.

On the nose- Red fruits, black berries, dark cherries, plum, wet stones, earth, mushrooms, cedar and vanilla, a hint of mint On the palate- Red fruits, black berries, dark cherries, plum wet stones, earth, mushrooms, cedar and vanilla and a hint of mint...the finish is super smooth and the tannins are seemless with the fruit, this wine is drinking well now but I think can age for another 5-8 years if not longer

this is another of the few examples lately of fairly good drinkable bordeaux for around $20. Nothing deep serious complex or thoughtful here but a lot better than most $20 us wines. Of course as per usual for such a bargain, my store seemed to have exactly one bottle. worth a try.

Clear, deep, garnet, tears, no deposit. Nose: clean, intensity medium, black berries, cherry, sweet cherrry, a tint of capsicum, a lot of vanilla, sweetness, developing. Palate: dry, acidity med+, alcohol med, tannin med, body med, sour dark berries, some vanilla and wood, finish med+, tart and sour. Good, drink now, not suitable for aging.

Initially watery and light. After an hour had little more dept. oaky with some initial spice. No tannin. Earthy. Somewhat disappointing. Did not appreciate any significant fruit

Ungiving on the nose, with maybe a touch of oak-laced cranberry. The palate shows cranberry, light oak, and a slight earth note, but it's all pretty flat. Decent mouthfeel and faint tannins on the finish come to the rescue. Still, this is somewhat disappointing for the vintage. 20 bucks.

Red fruit notes with a touch of earthiness. Very easy drinking for its age. Good QPR for what it is.

surprising... nose was fresh and light with floral notes, smokey oak and blackberry taste was mostly dark berries, smooth and light on the palate, not overpowering, what a difference one year in the bottle makes to drinkability.

Pretty good Bordeaux, easy drinking with a decent balance of fruit and acidity with mild tannins.

I expected more from the second label of 5th Grand Cru Chateu Haut Bages Libéral. Poured through Vinturi™ into decanter. No real improvement over the course of the evening. Watery, muted. Thin to medium-bodied. Not much there. Not terrible, it was drinkable.
