Note: I use a scale on which 85 represents a very good wine. What a great bottle. Who knew? Great balance, fruit still present. no signs of age or deterioration. Not quite as good on Day 2, but so what?

Might have been a bit high at 89 a few years ago. Good, delicate food wine, and consistent notes, but I think more in the 86-88 range.

Solidly made, ready now, with a pleasing ripe berry flavor, touch of minerality and earth. V. good entry level offering from Drouhin.

Agree with Ucbeau, this wine performs considerably above it's price point, with delineated flavor, nice hit of rocky minerality and brisk acidity. Very food friendly and I think it will hold up and possibly improve over the next year or two.

After having a severely mediocre bottle of this last year, I was extremely surprised to find a gem of a wine tonight. Lots of tart raspberry and red cherry, Bourgogne funk, and tense acidity. As it opened up, more ripe red fruits came out as well as an intriguing spicy note. The finish was clean and precise, leaving me rather surprised and pleased with this wine.

Not a wow. More grassy than earthy. Thought would pair well with mushrooms but fell flat.

I love this wine right out of the bottle. Great length on the tongue. The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Slow. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Silky texture. The wine finishes Long. Changed my initial rating from 92 to 89.

Popped and poured. Restrained aromas of cloves and red fruit. Pleasant flavors of earth, chalk and dusty fruit. Lingering chalky finish. Restrained and a bit closed, but pleasant. This may open up over the evening, but even now it is a quite good entry level Burgundy at a great price. However, lovers of New World style Pinot Noir should avoid.

Same note as last time. Thought this time I vinturi'd one glass on the first night and saved the rest of the bottle for night two where it is much better.

Light crimson in color with a watery appearance. Strawberry, raspberry, some vanilla and grass on the nose. really bright and acidic with strawberries again a little thin with chalk and dark chocolate on finish. medium body wine leaning to the acidic side

Vinturi'd: Nose has a decent amount of red fruits on it, but on the palate, it is rather green / vegetable like. 82 points. Update: Night two saw a nice improvement with most of the green flavors no longer existent. Due to the improvement on night 2, I increased the score to 87. This needs a good decant.

It could be me, but once again here is a value priced Burgundy that I just don't get. I tried it twice, once in a line up with several different varietals at a big tasting, and once, with a whole glass from a fresh bottle poured through the vinturi. My first impression, along side other wines, on the nose and the palate was medicine and industrial cleaner. Through the vinturi, things mellowed a lot, but still not much more beyond …

I brought one of my bottles to a Greek byob restaurant. The waiter open it and I let it breath for 20 minutes before enjoying a great dinner. As a typical Pinot Noir, Vero had a medium body in the glass and light tannins in mouth. As we moved from appeteizers to the main course we noticed how the wine opened and became a bit more fruital and it went down really smooth. It was a great value for the …

I found this to be a good value Burgundy (especially at the $13 Lot18 price), and while not changing my life, went great with our chicken Milanese, and continued to drink well afterward. Garnet in color. Nose of red fruit, smoke, mushroom, and manure. Raspberry and cranberry on the palate, with some well integrated oak spice and minerality balancing it out. Pretty light in body, but the spice notes help to give it a seemingly fuller mouthfeel. I think it's …

Not nearly as interesting as the '09 white we had, but it's got proper pinot noir flavor with more flesh and lusciousness than you expect from the low end of a vintage like '07.

Translucent, very pale purple (perhaps ruby?). Some vanilla notes on the nose, but not overpowering. A little bit of candied cherry on the nose as well. Tart but quite flat throughout the taste. Definitely didn't fill the mouth. Some minerality became evident after the bottle had been open for awhile. But the minerality was generic, not pungent or interesting graphite or rock.

This is the reason a usualy dont spend my money on "cheap" burgundy. Thin but not very elegant. To some point it has a rustic charm - but it's just too green and tastes like it someone put freshly chopped herbs in it. I'm not impressed

Very light reddish-ruby wine, very transparent. Light taste as well. We paired it with thai curry and rice, and found it to be a good match. Seems to have a subtle flavor and soft finish.
