Smells like it always has. Actually, still has the stone / dusty / lime thing but also now some yeasty notes. Becoming savory and nutty. Its weird but its darn good. This was a great chardonnay.

Maybe one of the last times tasting this one? Yogurt, leesy, nutty Chardonnay. With its own charms, and charming for it.

This is a completely ridiculous, but delicious, wine. This has butter, apples, pears, grapefruit, lemon, bananas, even after three days in the refrigerator after opening. I agree with other tasters that this feels like it should have bubbles. I really like how this maker produces truly individual wines. No running with the pack.

100% garage Chardonnay from Champoux in Horse Heaven Hills. Partial malolatic. Lemon spice nose. Medium-full bodied palate featuring creamy lemon spice followed by some light toasty vanilla flavors. Rich and long dry finish. Very nicely integrated oak throughout.

leesy baking apples all over the nose. high acid, and awesome for it. the smell of broken glass squares. palate shows quite the richness, but in the shadow of such high acid. no malo here is all so present. one of the most intriguing domestic chardonnays that I have had. thinking really leesy with chablisienne acidity. damn. DAY 2. red apple fruit on the nose. red apple skins. soft marmite-ishness aromas in the back ground. mouth watering chardonnay. sugar cookies.

The Ghostwriter Chardonnay is distorting it right now. We shall see where it goes.

Coming across as "sweet" on day two. Or maybe, how sweet it is. Sweet and brioche. Like a great champagne quite frankly. Maybe Washington State is the place to make great sparkling wine.

Dujac City - Burgundy Fest (Waterford Wine Co. Tasting Room) : Crisp nose. Like yeast blooming in warm water with some apple cider on the side. Apple cider and yeast, slate and gravel on the palate. A bracing wine. Long, long finish of apple cider.

This time around, and oddly enough in the presence of several wonderful white burgundies, it appears much calmer than my last impression of it. Still maintains bright acidity beyond the usual range of chardonnay, still exhibits green apple and tea, but also picks up some notes of white flowers that I didn't notice before and is far less attacking than the last bottle. The first time around I kinda liked it because it was unusual and forceful and sexy...this time …

Fairly intense nose of ripe red apple and crisp granny smiths. I get both. Intense mineral with a waxy lemon note. Very bracing on the palate, but still has a level of creaminess that balances it out. A crazy, waxy lemon note. Red apple flavors. Finish goes forever. Amazingly good stuff.

An absolutely ferocious wine. Green apple and white tea on the nose and palate, and then eventually begins to develop some banana on the nose...Steely, and high acid typical of O'Shea Scarborough...though who knows where this can go because it was gone in no time at all. This is the most vicious Chardonnay in existence. This wine has 'throw-down' most porn stars would envy. No wonder it's called 'Desolation' because it decimates the field around it and remains the only …

Stunning yet again -- with some of that tea or oxidized or mineral fruit character or talc that I associate with O'SS whites. Obviously searching for descriptors on my end. Once came up with yogurt but that doesn't fit either. Damn good.

Intensity defined. Succulent and pulchritudinous pear fruit on the nose. Hard to capture in a tasting note really. A stunner.
