This delicious straight out of the bottle without much breathing. Chocolate covered dark cherries on the front and middle. Yum! Silky smooth and lingering finish.

This was a great discovery in our cellar! The wine was drinking great. Smooth as silk with a lovely black fruit, chocolate, vanilla, and cassis flavor profile. It was even better the second day!!

Ready to drink. Woodsy nose followed by warm berry vanilla cola middle and moderately lingering finish.

Enjoyable wine but average complexity and depth. Has balance and pleasant flavor but not the power.

Drinking perfectly right now. One of the more complete cabs I've had in awhile. I know I'm a bit of an outlier on this one so maybe it just fit my palate really well. I agree its smooth and not huge but I think there's good depth, complexity and length nonetheless. Mostly just a great blend of my favorite flavors- vanilla, dark cherry, earth, chocolate.

Good complexity on opening; dark red fruit with nice balanced flavor; soft tannins; good finish.

Smooth and easy to drink. Not complex but very approachable with little breathing now.

Nice potential dimmed by a disjointed saccharine middle.

Served at the 2012 wine tasting. This one fell short. Not one first, second, or third place vote however. When I think of classic Rutherford, Sawyer is it. They embrace the Rutherford dust, and this wine has a bunch of it. The wine was uncorked to a dark red stain. Allowed to sit uncorked for about 3 hours. Not decanted. The nose out of the bottle was actually very light - there was some red berry, dark cherry, some blackberry. …

The group enjoyed this. Has plenty of life left and the "rutherford dust" was alive. Better than the last bottle. Close to if not a 90.

What a wonderful ruby tinted ride into the world of Rutherford dust, with mellow tiered hints of cocoa berry for the gustatory and olfactory faculties.

This is a good but basic cab. Not bad, but just an easy drink without a lot of flavor

Popped and poured, drank over four hours. This is a smooth wine with nice dark fruits and a hint of licorice on the finish. The only disappointment came when I looked back to see how much I paid for this. A bad wine it is not, but as others have noted there are much better wines out there for the money.

Day one this is a simple, lighter bodied wine. Nothing special but easy going for a widweek evening. No issues but nothing memorable. Not a good QPR at all.

Decanted for 5 hours and believe that made a big difference. Smooth cab, fruit released well with the decant. Good nose and nice finish. Not sure if I would pay this price for another bottle as I've had better in this price range, but we did enjoy this one.

Better on day two. Simple quaffer, not worth the price tag.

2008 Loyola Marymount Wine Classic : Not a lot of differentiation between the '04 Merlot, the '04 Meritage, and this but they are all quite good.
