Eisacktaler Kellerei / Cantina Valle Isarco Kerner

Full-bodied. Mouthfeel has a bit of a petroleum thing going on. Stone fruit, minerals, melon rind.

Medium-bodied. Lemon, almond, fermented honey, stone fruit.

simple sweet pear on day one; a bit of complexity and you notice the acidity on day two. A hint of spritz. Easy to drink but not my style.

Sweet, more like a typical gewurztraminer. I've had this in previous vintages and don't recall that being the case. Did my tastes change or is this vintage sweet?

Bright melon fruit, touch of honey and vibrant acid. Super as an aperitif and would be good as a reisling/gewurtz stand in.

Remarkably good. This wine offers diverse aromas of grapefruit, lychees, wet stones, blanched almonds, coriander seeds, and roses. It is vibrant on the palate, but there is plenty of weight. Some of the aromas remind me of muscat; others remind me of sauvignon blanc; and still others remind me of riesling. The finish is powerful, long, and complex. Great winemaking!

I never had a Kerner before but was surprised how good it was. Riesling fruits, orange, fennel, with softer acids and fully body. Dont drink fridge cold.
