Vermeil Wines Zinfandel Luvisi "" Vineyard

Meh. Nothing wrong with it, but was looking for more from a wine >$50. Hint of sweetness, a bit jammy. Not what I am looking for from top end Zin.

Four hour slow ox. Very deep rosy magenta color. Black cherry, strawberry jam, and subtle black pepper on the nose. Smooth, dry, spicy palate, with good acidity. Soft tannins on the medium long finish. My least favorite wine in the Vermeil lineup. Jammy and uninspired. Porch pounder that drinks below its price point. Outpost and Black Cat make much better Zin for approximately the same price.
