"Jeanne Gaillard" Very deep ruby/purple Very ripe nose with a cologne-like fragrance, some spice and heat. Black raspberry fruit, cream and vanilla, all very attractive and also showing notes of coffee, sweet spice and pepper. Great fragrant quality. Dense and rich attack, some tang and savouriness. Peppery and classical, sinewy in parts too – fascinating interplay and lots of energy with it. Some grainy grip but it works.
