Slight bricking throughout. Shy nose upon the opening. Delicate (for GC) rusticity. Fully developed. Red fruits, sous bois, mushrooms. The palate is a bit thin but is opening up with air exposure. Medium+ finish. Nothing special but solid for the village level. Drink up before it fades away.

Colour is fine, slightly brownish on rims. Smells a bit rustic, not unclean but wooden workshop plus a bit of volatility no aroma of fine fruit. First sip, hmm, savoury dry red. Not exciting but good if you’re in the mood for this sort of thing.

Medium ruby. Clear. So soft, lush and full. A real delight. Slight tannins. Has grip. Will last. Drank with TexChem.

Magnum. Ruby with pale orange rim variation. Transparent and thin fast tears. Initially, the nose was clean moderately intense of berry red and black fruits with spice and clean earthiness- not to last- aromatics flew away with wings, fading fast within an hour of pouring (decanted 1 hour before dinner). Very slightly sweet with hgh acidity, low alcohol, and a medium light round texture Out of balance but a fine quaffable weekday beverage with chicken, duck, even fish.

It is still early days for this well-made balanced powerhouse made by a combination of grapes from 2 plots. The sweet and rather full bodied fruit is assisted by 100 % new oak and waiting to be unpacked in the distant future. There is not a lot of tannins since the wine is fruit-driven and it will develop over the next 10-20 years. In respect of bouquet and tasting notes it is still rather undeveloped and is only in the …

Very nice indeed! Typical Serafin nose of mainstream, clean, no-nonsense Pinot Fruit. His style is not as extreme as Mortet on the one end and Rousseau on the other end of the spectrum. Serafin is somewhere in the middle. Lovely medium sized wine with many layers of fruit. Very good balance and the acidity in this somewhat hot vintage really shows the grand cru standard of this wine.
