산도 높은 전형적인 소비뇽 블랑 가격 생각하면 매우 괜찮은 와인 1,2년 묵혀도 좋을 듯.

Usually do pretty well with supermarket NZ SB, but this one did have just a bit too much of a pop vibe - grassy grapefruit just a touch overdone, fruit just a touch too ripe. Still a decent casual drink.

Very light yellow color. Noses pink grapefruit and mango, very tropical. Lots of grapefruit flavors, very strong, and the acidity is off the scale.

Light straw color. Perfumed aromas of quince, starfruit, honeyed lemon and peach. Light-medium bodied and interesting mouth feel on entry and then the acidity rushes in. Lemon with some grassy component on the palate that closes with a touch of citrus pith bitterness. Nice pairing for the pan-fried trout dressed with radish, lemon and herbs.

- Light gold color with fast forming legs and aromas of grapefruit with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - White flowers, grapefruit, fresh cut grass = classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.

Best of the three bottles purchased. Passion fruit and lemon on the nose. Passion fruit on the palette. Really good acidity and decent finish.

O.K tropical fruits on the nose and palette. Not much acidity. But at this price. Good summer wine.

Grapefruit on the nose. This was really good, and even better when I found out the cost. Makes for a great house wine this summer.

Good balance of acidity and fruit. Not as crisp as your typical sauvignon blanc. A good refreshing summer wine at a great price.

Dulcie prefers this to a good (King) Shag, and that must be saying something. Fellow CT-ers appear to concur as the average rating equals that of the benchmark Kim Crawford as Dulcie will forcefully assert. Very pale greenish yellow, almost colorless, the nose is quite impressive, quite a lot going on, grassy, floral, bright start on the palate, bracing with a hint of sweetness, but fades rather. It's a very good value, though I'm not yet prepared to anoint it …

I purchased a bottle of 2010 Kono Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough, New Zealand in Raleigh last week and decided to compare it to the 2010 Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough which I picked up at another Raleigh wine shop (and can usually find at the grocery store.) I paid $12.99 for the Kono (some places have it for as little as $8) and $16.99 for the Kim Crawford. The Kono is produced by the Maori people. Both wines were listed as …

Really great. Exceptionally light color, but not an indication of flavor. Lots of green apple. A wonderful example of a NZ sauvignon blanc. And at a tremendous price.

Tested after open a day at cooled to 50 deg F. Nose a bit more intense with grassy citrus and hints of "stinky sock" or cat pee. In the mouth the fruit was better defined (grassy lime and tropical slightly sweet) with a distinctive grassy finish with acid afterglow. Seemed to pair really well with unsalted roasted almonds (chew almond, sip wine, repeat) ... amplified the wine beautifully. Dryish. Body medium, acid medium. Very good QPR at USD 8.

Pop and pour, tested at 68 deg F. Light color, almost clear in a white mug. Light nose of citrus, grass, mineral, and floral. Decent acid on the attack with sour, just a bit underripe citrus and melon that fade into a pulse of grass and mineral and then finishes with fading light tropical fruit and grass. 13.5% abv. Dryish. Body medium minus, acid medium. Tasty and can't wait to try properly chilled. Good QPR at USD 8.
