Last bottle of 12 and probably the best one. Soft tannins, loads of black cherry, dark choclate, a touch of sweetness. Excellent

Not enough shoulders for the alcohol. Shame it otherwise had a lot of promise.

Tasted/drank side by side with the 2018 Mas Altas Cirerets. The 2016 Artigas had a longer finish. Red fruits (cherry, cranberry), spice, licorice, and med (smooth) tannins. On the nose, the wine came across more ripe/jammy than it actually tasted. Made me wonder if 2016 in Priorat was warmer/sunnier than other years, especially 2018. Med acidity. High alcohol. Overall, I really enjoyed the wine.

Comments of others noted, but I still think this is drinking very well, and I will look forward to the final bottle in a year or two…….

Once again, an excellent wine! This time paired with an Indian dish; Chana Saag, which consists of a tomoto and Chickpea curry on a bed of rice…deliciously savory!!! Cheers!

This is still drinking beautifully and probably at its peak. Dark fruits, figs, savoury palate. Two bottles left, maybe review in a year. On today’s evidence I would still say 2-3 years of good drinking.

Dark fruits — black currant, fig, blackberry. Pros: smooth; some dark herbs (anisette); easy to drink for a Priorat, by virtue of mixing in some blending grapes (in this case Cab Sauvignon); subtle tannins; clearly well made. Cons: nothing distinctive about this; does’t give a strong sense of Priorat (prob also by virtue of the blending grapes, but also llicorella is backgrounded); could be any number of regions/wines…though certainly tasty.

Excellent Priorat! Hits all the right notes, black fruit, the minerality of the slately soil and a very long, dry finish…with a touch of leather and cedar as it lingers on the palate.

Typical Priorat with a full aroma and smooth dark fruits (plum?). Some gentle tanins keep it fresh.

Dark ruby. Black fruits, damsons, cherries nose and palate. Very well balanced with a long finish. Really good wine. I think that this will continue to drink well for at least 2-3 years.

The Mas Alta estate was established in the year1998 by two Flemish families (Vanhoutte and Lambrecht), in village of La Vilella Alta (about 50 kilometers west of the city of Tarragona). This is a very elegant and fruit-driven Priorat wine, composed of 60 % Garnatxa, 30 % Carinyena (90-year-old vines) and 10 % Cabernet Sauvignon (slate and limestone soils) ; aged for sixteen months in Allier barriques (1/3 new, 1/3 second use and 1/3 third use). Color: deep ruby red. …

Very single sided, without complexity. Rather Jammy. Clearly past its peak, which is earlier than expected.

Saftig, Kirsche, schöner Trinkfluss. Wieder mal was anderes als Bdx oder Toscana. Wirklich gut zu Fleisch vom Grill. Kann und muss wahrscheinlich jung getrunken werden

The wine looks purple colored. It smells like cherry and strawberry. It tastes like strawberry, cherry and vanilla. The body is medium/full. The wine has satin-like texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

tasted at the winery with the team, made from 70% Grenache, 20% carinena and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, this is not written on the bottle but artigas not only made from Vilella vineyards. But 100% llicorella, slates, 15 months in oak, the nose is slightly wooded, with black currants, the palate is tight, good tight, with tension, and salinity, saltiness, lovely finish with grippy but good tannins, 2/3 years and it ll be at its best. Nice Wine. For 20 E …

Krotida Wine Trip to Priorat & Barcelona; 9/29/2019-10/2/2019 : The wine shows pale red colour. The wine is a bit alcohol in the nose, with red cherry, currant, pomegranate and a few floral notes. The wine shows alcohol heat in the palate, dried red fruit, cherry, soft tannins, medium to full body and medium finish

PnP. Developing nicely, still lots of upside potential here, although I’ll review my initial score to a solid 91 (which is still excellent in my book)

A year on from my last bottle and this is heading in the right direction. Needed a couple of hours of air to settle - showing lots of stewed strawberry Grenache character. From 2019 this will be an excellent QPR and might justify a higher score. Needs double decanting - has thrown a lot of fine sediment already.

Thought it was pretty heavy, spicy and alcohol forward first night. Better night 2. Give it some time in cellar.

“Mövenpick Weinspektakel”-Tasting. This wine was medium ruby in colour and offered cooked red fruit, berries, spices and slate on the nose. On the palate the wine showed red fruit and spices, with medium to medium-plus acidity and tannin, warming alcohol and very good length. It had good structure, but might lack fruit quality and fruit concentration required to balance the structure and age well.

Almost black, purple reflexes. After opening, it has a wonderfully rich blackberry nose. Palate is a plummy kind of sweet and bitter, maybe liquorice. Pretty jammy and full-bodied. Jamminess increases with aeration, as does the alcohol burn on the nose and the bitter-sweetness on the palate. Medium finish of liqurice, blackberry and, still, alcohol spiciness. It's 15.5%, but I noticed before I read the ABV on the label. The fruit is nice, but the alcohol ruins nose, palate, and finish. …

Closed nose, dominant black raspberries and liquorice on the palate. A very dense, thick wine (could stand a spoon in it), almost port like. Good but too big for my liking (needs at least 5 years in the cellar - 15.5%).

Rather an alcoholic and oaky mess at the moment although wife enjoyed it. Lots of fruit and some signs of promise if it all came together - but didn't seem to improve during 4hrs in a decanter. No idea how these will develop, but my wife can have the other 11bts and I'm selling the 2 other cases we have...
