Rapet Pere et Fils Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru Ile des Vergelesses

This wine was rather closed up, although it disappeared quickly between the 4 convives. Either it is in a closed phase, or we should have decanted.

Average bourgond. Drinkable now Fruit acidity. Plum berries Theis Vine

Bright medium red. Open 24 hours. Raspberry nose. Light body, well concentrated, fresh wild raspberry fruit, lively acid. It's a baby, and a pretty one.

Nothing to write home about. Cherry dominates, but very average all around. Probably similar wines at a lower price point. I’m not a big Pinot Noir / Red Burgundy fan, but trying to branch out. So far, it’s not going well.
