Another great showing for this bottling. One of the best older Burgundies I have had.

Bought at an auction for less than 20 CHF. Bottle in perfect shape. My experience is similar to that of the two previous tasters: this is an excellent, lively wine drinking beautifully now (with food).

What a huge surprise! Full garnet core with medium clear rim; nose of wood smoke, bloody roasted beef and sous bois all melded amidst dark fruit; extremely open and fragrant with some classic beetroot and celery salt showing up with airing; very textural and complex with excellent staying power over a couple hours. Layered and extremely long, gorgeous finish on this! BRAVO!!!

Exceptional showing! Powerful, effusive nose of smoke, bacon fat, beetroot, firewood scents over cabinet spices and a hint of shoe polish. Supple, fat midpalate that shows good richness. Rose garden aromas come about more with time in the glass and this just blossoms. Grand Cru quality with material held back a bit! Wow.
