Bottle held up well! Drank for daughters 21st bday. Mature and plateaued, smooth yet still very much alive. Went great with short rib dinner.

Drink in 2023….Robust…licorice and cherry…...would be very good with a meat, like steak or lamb….we enjoyed very much

Initial take, surprising in light of the vintage. Rich, powerful and smooth, but not an all-out jam-fest. Red berries, licorice, faint earth, black cherry and some clove of the nose. Rich, smooth and still some faint tannins on the palate. Drinking beautifully. Ready to go, pop'em now if you have'em.

This wine is in a great place. Strong alchohol on the nose initially but the palate is smooth, rich and powerful. A mix of fruit and some earth now. Tannins are mostly resolved. Good to drink now. Very enjoyable. Better after time in the glass!!

Tried Hestan for the first time last year and was very impresssed. Bought an assortment of wines including this 2011 Stephanie Red Blend. The wine is now revealing wonderful leather and mushroom notes, not simply the black and red berry notes so often seen with younger fruit-forward Napa cab (though this isn’t really all that old). Very enjoyable now so don’t wait too long.

This bottle was a special gift a number of years ago from the warden for a personal achievement which required 9 years of effort. I wasn't sure when we'd drink it so I tucked it away. Tried this at a family gathering. Reddish purple color. Oak & Dark fruits on the nose. Rich, full bodied wine with enough acidity that this wine should do well with food (had 1/2 a glass). Tar, plum, dark cherry & cassis on the palate. Long finish. Smooth tannins. Great blend of Bordeaux complexity with California Fruit. Did not get to try with food but should go well given the fruit / acid balance. Excellent wine.

Napa Valley Vintners Association (Fleming's Steak House) : nose: very good nose of red licorice, spice tones, red cherries, and various tones of fresh berries. Popped and left open in bollte for 1 1/2 hours and this tasted closed. Not a lot of fruit, but more Bordeaux like as it is supposed to. However, like an average Bordeaux, it needs more bottle age for my palate.
