Long decant. Not as good as the other bottles I’ve recently had of this one. A little too acidic and off balance, nose is lemon and a bit reductive. Post peak or just an off bottle?

Decanted at 16:00, enjoyed from 19:30 to 22:00. Light yellow color. Citrus fruits, a little bit of vanilla and lemon curd on the nose. In the mouth it is balanced with the same citrus notes and vanilla supported by superb minerality and acidity. Long and concentrated aftertaste. A lovely wine but I think it will be better tomorrow. Will update.

From magnum. Needs some air to relax a bit as it’s still quite tight, but there’s a lovely wine here which is almost ready for prime time, it’s got good minerality and tension, there’s citrus, orchard fruits, nuts and some subtle spices, the finish is pretty good too

Lime and salt dominate the palate (WE said Margharetia and this seems right on), but there are also subtle notes of mint, peach, tea, and almonds. On day two, the minerality came to the fore and reminded me of Meursault (but at 1/3 of the price). I think this wine was drinking well now, but there seems to be some ageing potential (i.e. it still drank well on day 3 and the mineral profile came through with some air time). …

Tasted alongside the Santa Rita Hills wine and this is a significant notch up in quality and price (£50rrp). Good use of oak, it's noticeable but integrated and great concentration of citrus fruit on the palate. Very nice but expensive.

Sandhi and Kutch wines tasting with Sashi Moorman and Jamie Kutch (London Cru) : Fresh lemons and a touch of gunflint on the nose. The palate has good weight, it's quite restrained but plenty of complexity of fruit flavour and there's a touch of mint to the long clean finish. I think this was quite tight and will need a little time to unravel

Amazing with food. High acid. Light and elegant mouth-feel. Was floored. TWE wine dinner in Raleigh. Light in color, nice mineral and granny smith apples on the nose and palate. They paired this with shrimp and crab in a savory broth - terrific match. Very light touch of oak, more citrus, mineral and steel driven. My favorite Chard of the night.

A very different California Chardonnay. Relying more on finesse than the typical power. Got a lot of mineral and beeswax on the nose. Palate dominated by citrus and wet stone. Had a mineral streak running through it as well but much different than the white burgundy we had as well. A nice feature effort.

IPOB in SF 3/16 - Quick Impressions : Showing notes of mineral earth, citrus zest, white pepper, and seashell. Complex. Rich and full. Very nice.

Amazingly fresh and vibrant on the nose with citrus up front followed by stone fruits and floral tones. Showing silky textures with floral finesse and hints of smoke on the palate. Turning tart yet still juicy and lively throughout the finish.
