Similar to previous tasting notes from 4/20, although a the nose isn't as prominent and a bit less acidity.

This is number 5 of 6 bottles and the first one in about 7 years. This continues to get better and better. I see no signs of this fading at all. Black tea on the nose with hints of black cherry and some green herbs. The palate is explosive of black berries, black pepper, licorice (guess what color). Finish is very strong. Great balance with bright acidity and tannins that would make me think this is a 5-8 year old …

Second time drinking this one, may have sat a little too long on this second bottle. Weak nose, but getting a bit of black pepper, light roastyness, but no fruit. Great mouth feel, just coats the teeth. Black cherry, meaty, gets earthy on the finish. Still like it, but wish I drank it a year ago.

Red and dark fruits, creamy vanilla touch and silky tannins.

Passively stored since retail. Pnp and drank over 3 hours with prime beef. Good pairing and well made wine in a modern style. Vanilla, dark red fruit, and nice structure. The alcohol was not noticeable and I’m pretty sensitive to hot wines.

No signs of aging on my bottle. Dark color with no fading or bricking. Reserved, slightly hot nose, and a huge, monolithic palate. After a couple hours, the heat dissipated, but it was still too big (and I like big wines). If I had another, I would wait another five years.

Tasted alongside another Napa, Beaulieu Vineyard, Georges De Latour Private Reserve, 2006. Both tasted after a about 2 hours in the decanter. A deep lush violet/purple, with again that lighter hue of a 10 year wine shining through. Needs more time in the decanter, a very tight spline, with ripe dark plummy fruits on the edges drifting off it, secondary notes of Dr Pepper/cola as the winemaker suggests, something dark in there for sure. A big chewy tasty in your …

Ripe, Napa fruit. A bit lighter-bodied than I expected. The 14.9% alcohol blends, but you know it's there because of the fruit load. Pleasant, QPR?? but that's Napa...

Tight and tannic. Cherries and currants bit just doesn't pop.

Fresh and fruity up front with cherries and strawberries. Starts to fade after an hour to a bit of sour cherries.

Nice Black and Red Fruit on entry, a bit light on the Mid, but has a pleasing and decent length finish. Floral on the nose with a bit of heat sensed, but well integrated on the taste. Black and Red Current, chocolate cherries, with touch of raisin. Oak is subtle with a hint of vanilla and some cedar notes. A solid wine for the money, glad i have two more to enjoy, think this still has 5+ years.

Solid full bodied wine with black and blue fruit that benefits from a decant.

Strong whiff of vanilla and ripe dark Napa fruit. Quite unctuous and smooth on the palate with intense flavors of vanilla oak and ripe black fruits. The finish is still tannic and grippy with notes of eucalyptus and bitter chocolate. Bordering on overripe as with most Napa Cabs but I think this wine gets away with it. Age it further at your own risk.

I'm with ogres3 here.....big fruity wine but not that interesting to me and higher octane than I love....the table happily guzzled it

The missus rated it higher. Deep purple hues. OK nose. Nice reddish blue fruit but not overly complex or interesting. Very good finish.

Aromas of blackberries blueberries plums vanilla mint, smoked meats, & minerality- palate stewed plums, blackberry compote, hints of vanilla, leather, warming alcohol, with talc-like tannins

Over a year since my last review, how opinions change. Dark purple, cola and cut grass predominate, generous dry mouth coating, medium long finish. Changing opinion to leave for a further year before finishing my final two, now feel wine has some rounding to go despite fruit being there.

Decanted for 4+ hours. Lots of pumice and sediment on decanter walls. Nose was much more open than my first bottle. Aroma's of Blackberry, leather. Full bodied and a gritty texture. Finish is firm. I do not see much improvement from more cellar time drink within the next year. Great QPR from WTSO. 5,14,16,6=91

Desire and expectations high for this Two Hands Napa delight. Deep ruby colour, blackfruits. It was very well balanced and very very nice as it evolved over the hour drinking window. Probably a little more to offer in coming years, although its marginal points of finesse, I really enjoyed. Great finish too.

Decanted for 2+ hours. Nose restrained and did not open much over time either. Aromas of tobacco, leather, dark fruits. Palate is full bodied and silky smooth. Great integration at this point tannin/acid/alcohol. Blackberry, blueberry, leather, cocoa. Delicious wine with a creamy finish. 5,12,16,6=89

Dark color with aromas of blackberry, plum and blue fruit. Medium- to full-bodied, with flavors of blackberry, cherry, vanilla (not too prominent), and plum, some fairly pleasant tannin a little heat from alcohol but less than might be expected for the labeled 14.9% moderately long finish. Nice but flavors not fully integrated leading me to question (?) whether this will improve notably with age

Picked up online from Two Hands cellar door, $48 a bottle. Decanted for 3 hours before trying. A dark inky purple, like stained blackberries, almost black. Agree with Two Hands, initial aroma of cola of all things, then for me followed by plums and dark berries. Other reviews here say the wine is chewy and I tend to a agree. It is full bodied, thick and coats the inside of your mouth, leaving a just short of a medium finish, …

It's a wine you can eat! Very "chewy", the wine just coats and sticks to your mouth. Got some bell pepper and oak on the nose, with dark berries and black cherry, with a bit of tobacco and berry jam when consuming. Very nice wine, excited that I have 2nd bottle to keep cellared for a couple more years.

Lots of oak. Not the in your face vanilla kind, but spicy and covering the fruit. Dark fruits underneath which never really shined. Whether the bottle needed more air, or it was made in that style I can't say. A solidly made bottle of wine, but with nothing particularly great about it and certainly not for it's price point.
