En Primeur barrel sample. Beautiful nose with yellow fruit, some honeysuckle, hint of almond. Lemon and peach with yellow flowers, touch of creamy almond on finish. Good mineral/saline from limestone on the finish (tartaric bite on end).

Probably best Chass Mont I have had but tasted more Puligny than Chass due to greater acidity than normal. Really powerful. Great with flavourful fish

Light to medium colour; ripe, peachy nose; attractive, fresh palate, with lemon and hazelnut, and discreet oak. Medium weight with good length. Drinking well now, but should keep for 2 to 3 years at least.

A very nice if somewhat restrained Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru. Really needs about an hour to wake up. Cox apple, some stone fruit and white flower notes. Slightly nutty indeed. Long citrusy finish. Drink in the next 3-4 years. 90-91

Tasting (Mostly) 2012 at Jean Noel Gagnard (Chassagne-Montrachet) : Tasting at domaine. Also bottled just a few months ago, but this was more forward and interesting vs the Chaumees 1er just tasted. More pleasurable fruit, but also very well textured and mineral driven. I expect this will resolve into a very good and more interesting wine medium and long term.

Tasting (Mostly) 2012 at Jean Noel Gagnard (Chassagne-Montrachet) : Tasted at domaine. Starts fat and lush with lots of ripe apple, even some baked apple character, which I find somewhat common in 2009s, but there is plenty of sneaky acidity and good minerality also emerging from middle to finish.
