Very good, but not quite excellent. Required aeration and a few minutes of swirling to fully open up. Nice smoky nose; the fruit definitely took a backseat there. Medium-to-heavy body with a fair bit of currant and earth tones, with a good "smoked" quality to it after it had opened up for us. Bought this as a gift with one to drink and one to send home with them; would definitely do this again.

Unmistakeable Napa mouth feel. This wine is ready to drink right after opening, but 30 minutes of air will smooth it out even more. Tart, strong tannins, and a full mouth feel, with oak, blackberry, chocolate and tobacco. A very good value for the price.
