Long Live Brunello – A 2013 overview (Zoom!) : South, 500m, big botte for 45 months. Such a grown-up nose: there’s juicy fruit as well as a balsamic quality, tobacco, sage and very concentrated ripe cherry. It's incredibly complex. So much going on on the palate too – like a melange of ripe red fruit, bitter chocolate and soft exotic wood. Very long, dark fruit finish, like blackcurrant jam. Delicious.

Sun baked earth, new leather, ripe red cherry, cigar box. Rustic and earthy with good acidity and fresh red cherry flavor. Lot of tobacco on the finish.
