Fruit on the nose, even straight after opening, and this persisted for an hour or so in the decanter before tailing off. Not as prevalent on the palate though. Pine needles and a touch of menthol. A little too acidic on the finish (though maybe wouldn't feel so bad with some food, which had long gone). A nice bottle. Good value (Majestic, like previous reviewer).

God gammel kending som vi har passet på i mere end 20 år. Rød med murstensrød kant. lette gardiner. Smag Eg, sveske, læder med mandler. God eftersmag - ingen syre eller tannin - lakrids sammen med eg, sveske, læder med mandler. God lang eftersmag.

Very nice. Juicy fruit with nice oak balance giving a nice woody note Tannins are very soft making this very approachable and a great value Bordeaux

This was so much better than the first two bottles. Nice liquorice and black berry nose with a cherry, dark chocolate and late hints of vanilla on the palate. Really nice.

The 2002 now needs drinking up. There is brick red on appearance. On the nose I don't get that "claret" nose I normally recognise but there is a hint of soft black fruit reminding me of wine gums. No tannins on the taste and the fruit is beginning to dry but there is a hint of sweetness and a little short on the finish. But for a cheap mature Bordeaux I can't complain too much. Earthen, still with some red fruit, a touch of complexity. Green a bit maybe. I still like this. It has a grippy texture, nice acidity. Medium mouthfeel, and fairly energetic. Certainly elegant, and drinking nicely now. Decent finish.
