Domaine Les Bruyères Crozes-Hermitage Georges

Still a young wine, but really showing of tonight. Concentrated with plenty of olives, tar, black fruit, bacon,. really an archtypical Syrah here. Many years ahead of it, but very drinakble now if you like primary fruit. #GlennB&Co - in the garden

Pepper, spice and dark fruit. Had some air and it was really good with the meal. Could really see this with pigeon or duck.

Really dark, intense colour, more burned than cooked deep purple fruit notes, leaning on concrete (half is raised in concrete, half in old barrels). This is my fourth bottle. First one, in early 2018, got me so exited I bought the last two. David Reynaud have gone over to plastic caps, in that period. Au restaurant. Belle couleur pourpre foncé, mate. Epices et poivre blanc au nez. En bouche, fraîcheur et minéralité. Très bien.

Ce vin continue à se goûter comme au premier jour : le nez est une explosion de fruits noirs, poivre, violette et herbes aromatiques. La bouche est super bien équilibrée par une belle fraîcheur et développe beaucoup d'énergie. Le vin semble beaucoup reposer sur son intensité aromatique et n'a peut-être pas la structure pour aller très loin dans le temps. A boire dès maintenant et à garder pour voir s'il est capable d'évoluer.

Sunday Funday (Chicago, IL) : The nose is definitely 2015 syrah -- tons of ripe black fruit and a good amount of spice as well to go with it. The palate shows some lightness, with acidity to balance out some black fruit, but I picked up something a little funky on the finish (reminded me a bit of dead yeast or somesuch) that was quite distracting.

Good quality cork, barely soaked. Medium purple dress, intense, very young. Floral and delicately spicy nose. The characteristic violet of Crozes is there and easily identifiable. Fluid and fruity mouth, beautiful silky material, nice finish with a noble bitter taste. It's already delicious and not sure that the wine will improve with age. Enjoy it now! A delicious Crozes for drinking in the next 2 years. Very ripe but not at all jammy, and without the peppery tension of a cooler vintage. Fresh acidity counterbalances the plummy ripe fruit. It’s not the most complex wine from this domaine, but it’s near impossible not to like this more opulent style.
