This has really come together, really nice bottle. funk has dissipated, even with pnp, leaving a full wine with not so much fruit but nice savory/herbal tones with a little cocoa after a while, in a good spot right now.

agree with prior notes; on PnP had a funky note that blew off with 60 min of decant and revealed a complex wine, with earthy and savory tones, but rounder than others from s.france, had a little fruit and overall quite nice.

Quiet acidic and harsh tannins on the first day. On the second day still started out acidic but gained some rich tomato and chocolate notes. Still may need years to mellow but unclear if the acid will integrate.

Certainly not a boring wine. There's a lot going on but it's all a bit disjointed. Nasty funk on opening which (mostly) dissipated after 90 minute decant and some elegant fruits with some herbal notes as one would expect from a Southern Rhone wine. If I had more I would cellar to see if it pulls it's act together but right now I'm liking, not loving, it.
