Decide to treat myself to one of these on my birthday. Opened about 2 hrs before dinner. Into a decanter (per the boss’s instructions!) about 30 mins before. Consumed over 2 hrs. Impeccable balance. Deft oak treatment. Compelling palate presence. Nice structure holding it all together. Can’t say enough good thing about this wine. Glad I’ve got more In the cellar to watch it evolve.

Can't keep my hands off these - this was the fifth of a sixpack and they've all been utterly delicious. Clean and lean without being mean. Definitely a slight lick of new oak in here but certainly not excessive; alcohol kept in check and lovely bright acidity. Wife was out last night so I opened one of these on my own and it slipped down in no time at all.

I'm still yet to have a disappointing wine from Morgen Long. Bright, light clear pale yellow. This started too cold. As it warmed, flavors and scents of lemon peel, mineral, underripe apricot emerged. Vibrant and energetic - it's appearance belies its concentration of flavor.

A&B Oregon tasting (Coopers' Hall, Devonshire Square) : Tasting sample. Pretty clean, neutral nose with a touch of cantaloupe. Riper on the palate. Some interest here but needs time. (4)
