Opened at (cool) room temperature. Pungent quince, lemon, floral, herbaceous and stony sorts of aromas. Similar flavors, fleshy but lifted by good acidity. Tasty, characterful, excellent value.

When first opened, this wine seems rather neutral. But as it warms and is exposed to air, it opens with aromas and flavors of wildflower meadows, almost like a still Champagne or quality, dry Spumante. The finish offers a great acidic push. A wine for those who prefer subtlety in whites as opposed to overpowering monsters.

Subdued peach and melon, light bodied, fresh and clean. Good acid and a decent length finish. Very good.

Don't drink too cold. Restrained floral smell, acacia or honeysuckle, some gravel. Medium bodied, fresh enough but relatively low acid. A bit of tropical fruit in the mouth and a touch of fat but overall cool and elegant. Very good.

The first wine as part of a north to south tasting tour of Italy's wine regions during the month of May (31 wines in 31 days). Start the Bugatti, we're on our way. Opening the bottle, one imagines being in the Dolomites, enjoying a hillside picnic in the fresh mountain air. An Austrian Riesling comes to mind. The lightest yellow color in the glass -- as clear as a spring fed mountain lake. Quite round, beautiful acidity and a flinty, …

Pale gold color. Aromas of bruised pear, quince, slate, violets and gingerbread. Nice vivacious fruit, chiseled and linear, leading into rich and round mid-palate depth, showing bright acid and dry lingering quince and mineral on the finish. Very nice.

Pale gold, nose of light pineapple. Grapefruit on the palate, with bright acidity, Apple notes mid-palate with a medium finish, a little bitterness. Nice wine for the price.

Racy and clean, light body, white fruit, some grapefruit and citrus and a little apple. Soft minerals add some interest. Nice summer wine. 13% abv, $14.
