Lots of candle wax and honey on the nose. There is some lovely clean fruit in the background though after serious time in the decanter and glass. Really characterful stuff. On the palate this is powerful with huge substance and extract, still young with high acidity, but alread that lovely waxy mature Chenin feel. Outstanding length. World class again from Lambert. Best at room temperature out of Zalto burgundy after hours of air. 18/20

Complex aromatics of chalk, Granny Smith apple, honeysuckle, rockmelon and smoke. The palate has squint Inducing acidity. It is loaded with orchard fruits and oozes chalky minerality. It is so intense and direct, with awesome presence and superb length.

The nose was wonderfully fresh and vibrant, with green melon and honeysuckle giving way to notes of apricot and sweet lifting minerals. On the palate, It was soft yet fresh, as lime-infused minerals with a saline twang gave way to fresh apple and cleansing acidity.
