Still quite tannic. Fruit is there. Holding well. Addendum: On day three, the fruit appears. This wine,(if you can find it) is worth at least one more point.

Perhaps a dumb phase , as the tannin seems to dominate. I seem to remember more fruitiness last year. None the less, this is pleasant to drink. Seek this out in the ever more common ripe years as an affordable alternative to Burgundy.

Drank at Chambers in NYC for $78, 14% abv, earth and tannic with a bit of funk, enough fruit, interesting Pinot Noir, drank easily with monkfish in broth and chicken pallard, a different style of PN that we enjoyed, would drink again.

Red Sancerre infrequently finds it's way to the USA. It's Pinot Noir from a stretch of the Loire very close, geographically, to Burgundy. In a good year such as 2019, it can be a dead ringer for Burgundy at a great price point. Drinking well now, this young wine shows a beautiful fragrant nose and an impeccably well balanced palate. Long finish.
