Ditto SalfromCal’s comment below. My one and only bottle went too fast.

Wonderful wine with mellowed tannins and great balance. Only problem with this wine is that it was my only bottle.

Very dried and lots of tannins. A very good PQR.

Decent, but not as good as my last bottle. Bottle variation?

91 may be generous. Have six bottles and letting grap evolution play out another year for the last three.

I’ve had quite a few of these over the last few months. Just want to comment that several have been slightly off having a more rustic green pepper note not dissimilar to a valley floor 2011. This wine should and usually drinks packed full of ultra ripe fruit and silky smooth tannins. Still structured but built to drink young. The good ones I think score 93 and the bad ones closer to 85.

Opened in bottle and let it sit for half a day. Ready right from the start and delivered throughout the night (especially for the price point $40). Medium plus bodied and structured with soft tannins. Very new world with plenty of red, black, blue fruit accompanied by cassis, bitter chocolate, and crushed stones. Oak is noticeable here but never seemed obtrusive or clunky. Actually reminded me a lot of the Realm blends. Needs a few more years but made to …

At a gathering, so this was a pop and pour wine. In the glass, a lively, intense and inviting dark purple color. On the palate, bright, and youthful with black current, cassis, soft ripened dark berry fruit and essence of violets are present much in line with the winemakers description. I also detect some tobacco and dark chocolate. Really young right now but it will be interesting to follow the journey as it evolves. This wine is tasty and somewhat …

Was not familiar with Altvs, but was an amazing wine and the QPR at the sale price of $40, this Coombsville Cab was a steal. Merus second label, so with that, not surprised at the power this wine showed. No formal notes, but it had that typical Coombsville profil, was a solid wine for the price. If possible would have given 92.5
