Pale, clear greenish yellow - almost pale peridot in colour, but not quite that green. Lanolin, yellow plum, yuzu and wet slate on the nose. Smooth, zippy and Rubenesque in the mouth. Similar flavours as on the nose with those same notes of yellow plum, yuzu and slate. Nice overall mouthfeel. Off dry and medium long finish that has good acidic lift and a bit of phenolics. Very nice! 92 points consistently

Very pale yellow with silver green highlights. Fresh nose containing grapefruit zest, preserved lemon and some creamy lanolin notes. Clean and crisp up front and then rounder bodied on the finish. Nicely balanced with well judged acidity. Seemingly good fruit extraction with flavours of mellow yellow grapefruit, unripe pear, yellow plum skins and minerality. Great yellow fruit freshness. Very drinkable A well balanced / well made treat!

Pretty light, crystal clear silvery yellow. Lanolin, preserved lemons, rich and creamy nose. Rich, round palate. Quite full bodied with well balanced cleansing acidity. More creamy lemons and almost a custardy note in taste. Very good quality.

Still in good shape, with an interesting wool and flinty aroma + acacia, pear, peach and apricot. Pleasant acidity, well balanced with the fruity character. Maybe it is because of the screwcap, but it is pretty well conserved despite the four years of age.

grassy, lemony nose Very light, soft, simple now but there's some toast developing at the end. I'd keep though very charming now

Enjoyable but not quite hitting its stride yet. Will revisit this wine in 3-5 years.

Lemon, lanolin and honey on the nose. Tangy palate which emphasises the honey and lemon notes. Easy drinking and slightly simple at the moment, and finishes just slightly on the flabby side. This is completely varietal and true to the Hunter style. Good and should develop complexity in time. 85+

Nose: lemon -- lemon peel, lemon curd, lemon juice. Maybe mandarin. Brown apple. White flowers. Perhaps sweet stone fruit. Soft and fresh and sweet. Palate: more lemon, especially peel & lemon curd, lemon juice. Floral. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel - some leesy richness. Quite smooth, rich and soft for a young Hunter sémillon. V. good for early drinking. Lots of fresh juicy lemony acid.

Wine-Ark boys on tour - Hunter Valley 2014 - Day 3 (Hunter Valley) : Muted aromas of lemon, with slight peach and apple. Hints of sweet spice. On the palate the wine is crisp, fresh with citrus tones that carry long joined by slight spice on the back of the palate.
