Mamete Prevostini Valtellina Superiore - Sassella San Lorenzo

Pretty similar to a Pinot Noir. A lot of fruit but pretty boring. Like a 20$ pinot from Chile or similar.

Plenty of roasted oak, coffee and bright red fruit on the nose. Bramble berries, cranberries and lots of strawberries. Medium acidity, plenty of fruitiness, not my favorite kind though, but more the sweetish cherry kind of fruit. Medium body, medium intensity and length. A dry finish, but no tannins to talk about. An easy drink, but lacking refinement and structure. Was expecting more from a $40 Nebbiolo.

Pale garnet color. Developing nose with a medium+ aroma intensity. Dried cherries, dried roses, violets, spice box, fresh strawberries, dried herbs, oak and butterscotch. Dry on the palate with a medium+ acidity, medium tannin and body. It has a medium intensity and a juicy texture. Lots of super ripe red berries like raspberries, strawberries and cherries. The finish is medium and slightly tart with a hint of spice, grass and roses. An easy-drinking, juicy and refreshing wine. I think most …
