Smooth, energetic. Medium bodied. Terrific bottle.

Considering to reviews (& price) it didn’t make my top shelf for a Shiraz. Maybe it should be aged longer to appreciate the result

Dark crimson. Red fruits, spice on the nose. Juicy red berries, fine tannins, good acid. Ageing nicely.

Another on the drink list of KTW museum stocks. After drinking the 2006, this presents as far more refined, less tannic. Well balanced. Drinking beautifully.

Had this with a 2014 horizontal tasting of the best 10 Hunter Shiraz. All four scorers gave this first place and 98pts. A magnificent complex palate and nose. Enjoy now and for the next two decades.

Full bodied, huge after taste, really sucks the moisture out of your mouth which is great

Keith Tulloch Wine Masterclass (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo) : Slightly smoky notes, polished oak, savoury spice, earthy, meaty, black plums though polished. Concentrated and savoury, tightly tannic, alcohol heat, dense. Hmm

Hunter Valley Visit 2013; 4/26/2013-4/29/2013 (Hunter Valley, Australia) : 4 hours in the decanter. Tightly wound still, with spice and cherry as well as tobacco and earth. Good fruit depth and the savoury/fruit balance is spot on - providing interest against the plush, tasty fruit. Structurally very good too. Come back to this in 10+ years for its best.
