Domaine le Briseau Galimatias

Really fascinating wine, but this could leave some scratching their heads -- "What the heck am I drinking?" I've enjoyed some Le Briseau pineau d'aunis before but this was still a delightful surprise for me. Sparkling, light red with a purple hue, somewhat transparent. Aroma of barnyard and black pepper and fruit. White pepper, rose, berries on the palate with a stoniness like chalk. Refreshing and ethereal.
