Burger and Beaujolais night at home. This is from vines planted over a hundred years ago in 1911. Ripe red and black berries on the nose. Hints of smoky meat and earth as well. A fairly rich Beaujolais. Ripe red and black berries again. Southern Rhonish dried herbs and a little pepperiness. One could be forgiven for thinking this is a very soft and lightish syrah. Juicy.
