Mature nose with dried strawberry, spice, forest floor and meaty notes. Medium-fullish palate, black fruit. Still fresh and acidic. Austere and bit hard, but good concentration and minerality. Not very high typicity. A bit woody and balsamic. A twenty year old village from a top vintage is probably on the verge of the cellaring limit. At least from a producer that is a bit "rustic"

Old and tired. Not very good.

It’s really only okay. A bit acidic and lacks any depth to make it compelling. Probably past its prime so I think the drinking dates here are likely ambitious.

Pop and poured. Drank over 3 hours. At Chateau Davyd and at home. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose medium+ intesnity, with aromas of savoury earth/dirty topsoil, fresh red cherries, slight smoked meat. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of savoury earth, menthol, red cherries, dark red cherries, slight meat. Long finish. Very good quality. Most probably a grateful beneficiary of the 05 vintage, …

Medium ruby core, slightly brickish rim. On the nose, sweet ripe red fruit, (even hint of dark fruit) dried cherry, cedary, cinnamon, smoke, meaty, white pepper, sous bois note. Bright, fresh acidity, silky tannins. More robust for Chambolle-Musigny. Great length.

Reminding me more of a NSG than a Chambolle. The flowers , if any, are very muted or dried up. Ruggard dark fruits, earth and touch of spiciness. Considerably open for an 05 though only a village. Most 05s I have tasted are really still sleeping.

Tasted Blind - medium ruby, clear throughout. A ton of fast moving legs. Developing nose of red cherries, oak, earth and some spice. Medium to high acidity, medium tannin, high alcohol, medium body. Flavours of red cherries, oak, spice. Longer finish. Needs some time to settle down. Very good. 88+

13%. This is a village and not 1er Cru. Bottle was opened and left standing for 2 hours. A good nose; cherry fruit and creamy. The palate has a silky texture and good acidity. Sweet undertone from start to finish. Some parts of my tongue is sensing more mineral rather than fruit notes. More intense and complex. Interesting. The cream on the nose is there on the palate too. A little too young though. This can certainly develop further in …
