Full-bodied, dark coloured, dark fruit flavour with good acidity and finish but a little tightly wound

Rich Brunello. Paired well with grilled steak. Still has a lot of life in it...

Good, but couldn't get past a distinct isopropyl alcohol bitterness. Needs to breath more? Perhaps. After decanting about 1 hour ahead, perhaps we needed to let it breath more. Not a fan.

PNP. Started opening up by hour 2, would have been better if we had the time to slow ox it. A bit unstructured.

Carpe Vino!; 11/9/2014-11/15/2014 (Tuscany (Florence, Montalcino, Siena)) : This seemed to be the least popular wine of the tasting for the group. It's very smokey flavored, lots of toast. Tougher tannins than some of the others. The fruit came across as more stewed. With some time I was getting more like a concrete flavor to it with some cough syrup. All could be interesting flavors, but the wine didn't pull them together right.
