"SWEET SPOT" PINOT NOIRS: BURGUNDY & CALIFORNIA (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto CA) : bandaid nose, dry, savory. on second taste, that bandaid aroma turned into floral/herbal.

2009 Red Burgundies (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, CA) : Strange nose of bean soup with ham. Light to medium bodied with a nice mix of sweet strawberry and tart red fruit. Another strange nose/palate contrast.

Decanted for a few hours. High toned red fruit nose. Lingering tart red fruit with the acidity dominating the other components. Did not change much with air. For me this wine is out of balance with the acidity dominating anything else in the wine. Those who like big acid, tart and high toned pinots workouts this. Me, not so much. I did enjoy this producers chorey-les-beaune from this vintage.
