(no formal tasting notes) Some honey and golden fruit notes, but doesn't have a ton of aged characteristics. Pretty well balanced, this is on the fuller side for a white wine but not dominated by oak nor alcohol (13.8%). Perhaps a tad past its prime, but still drinking well. Doesn't have enough concentration nor structure to age too much longer, so I'd recommend drinking soon. Good value!

Light yellow. Smoky, lemon and mineral nose. A bit oily on entry with elegant citrus and lanolin flavours. A lot like white Bordeaux to me. Very good.

Bill's Summer Garden Offline (Vancouver, BC) : Notes of lemon, floral with hints of minerality. Juicy flavours with a fresh and acidic finish. Drink now. Very good.

This is a very nice in the bordeaux blanc style. The three varieties are very well integrated and the entire package is delicious at all temps. Highly recommend.

Amazing again probably one of my favorite white wines at this point. Or at least, if I can go through a case of it in under a year it has to be a favorite, right?

I can't tell you what it did to me but my body will never be the same. Sucked it down like a thirsty man in a dessert. When presented with Domaine Leroy I drank this instead. Enough said?

Thought I had written a tasting note for this already, but apparently I had not. Buty is one of my favorite producers in the Northwest - great, interesting wines and very cool owners...can't ask for much more than that. This wine took my wife and I by surprise, in that it was far better than we even expected, given the sub-$20 price point. For me, this is not a hot summer day white, but more of a Fall wine, when …

Odd note of sulfur, but I think that is some of the other wine showing through.

It ran on for five days in the bottle and the fridge and kept on kicking. What a fun drink. Worked very well with grilled salmon, avacado and corn.

Norris Wedding Whites Before Dinner (Beloit College) : Lemon cream. Some pitchy kerosene. Palate is more mineral driven. Med plus acid. Very saline nose. Clean nose. Almost some minty association on the palate. Mint oil. Finishes with long apricot.

Beautifully crisp, tangy, fruity, stony, light-medium bodied white blend. Excellent complexity and great by itself or with food. Highly recommend.

Toasty, nutty yeast note. Also peaches. Remains strawberry to me on the finish as well. Brighter than I remember, but I am also serving this bottle cooler than the last. Which I kept open for seven days until I finished it this morning when I opened this wine.

Served not cold. Sensual, textural and rather too easy to drink.

Zupan's Buty Winery Tasting (Zupan's Burnside Market Wine Cellar, Portland, OR) : Straw/gold in color. Very citrusy nose, with a good bit of minerality as well. Flavors of lemon-lime, with a touch of sweetness, and a nice mineral backbone. This is not like most Sauv Blancs I have tried...mostly Sémillon, which makes all the difference!

very relaxed wine. smooth high toned citrus/lime leaf on the nose. while a lush mineral backbone holds all this together. rich lush stoney nose. m/m+ acid. white pepper and that richness across the palate.

"The ripeness that we get in the inland dessert gives us these beautiful clear nights. So what we can builds a beautiful wine with these conditions. These vineyards were planted in 1982. Its richer and creamier than SB and is sort of SB turned upside down. All of these are natural acidity, no water, no acidification. Creamier than just pure SB.

69% Semillon, 26% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Muscadelle - fermented in neutral oak to enhance texture of Semillon. Pale gold color with pronounced nose of wet slate, tropical fruit, acacia flowers, honey and saline. Much lusher fruit on palate than the O'Shea. Sauv Blanc definitely gives it a lift in the mid-palate. Ben says the muscadelle gives it a "candied note". Similar to Bordeaux Blanc. Tonight I preferred the O'Shea, but this wine is still a beauty.

Beautifully integrated; crispness of sauv blanc with roundness of semillon. Just a really well-made wine.
