First experience with Piemontese Rossese (um, make that Rossese from anywhere!), and an enjoyable one. Poured out of magnum. Full yellow. Pear aromas. No frame of reference for this, but reminiscent of Loire Chenin in its weight and texture. Beautiful fruit, perhaps with a whiff of residual sugar, clay based soil, long finish. Maybe like a cross between Vouvray Sec and Savennières. At any rate, I found it unique for Italian white and very tasty.
