Sunday, March 18, 2001 This is a blend of syrah and granache, I think. Somewhat brickish with almost a tinge of orange on the edge. Nose of smoke, dark fruit and tar. On the palate, the fruit appeared and left followed by smoke, vanilla, spice, tar and leather. Long finish. With lamb chops marinated in olive oil, rosemary and garlic.
