Zlatan Otok Babić Vrhunsko Vino

My first experience with babic and I love it. It's so savoury and Old World in style, could be some traditional Italian red. Red fruited with cooked strawberries, a touch of leather in the background. Mediterranean ripeness comes through, yet it's moderate in alcohol (13,5%) and has good acidity - and great, chewy tannins that again reminds me of the Italians. It's pure and so interesting, a superb mid-class red. At its peak, drink now.
