Much better than the bottle a year ago. Decanted in bottle for an hour and enjoyed over two hours. Probably on the backside of peak, but still delicious. Mature nose and palate, strong dark and blue fruit with fine tannins.

The nose was very inviting, but the palate was dominated by oak. Fruit started showing up after a couple hours but didn’t really reach a balance with all the wood. PnP this time; will decant the next bottle.

Long legs, huge dark fruit, cherry, berries. Time to drink, mild soft tannins. Likely the perfect time to consume

big and very fruit forward, but not overripe. A fun wine with a lot to like. PDQ92+

Really nice fruit and just the right amount of oak.

Took to a dinner, enjoyed by all in attendance. Not a small or bashful wine.

Light herbal nose, but substantial weight to this wine. Very dark with deep fruit and ample tannins. A bit too much oak for my taste. Has a dominant jammy characteristic that seem a bit of a single note. Lacks finesse and complexity, but would go well with a good steak. Could still last a few more years, but not sure it will improve much.

Shy nose that comes out a bit with a little air. Blackcurrant, herbs, smoke, and vanilla on the nose. Blackcurrant, black cherry, spice, and vanilla on the palate. Light to medium bodied, but powerful. Well-balanced acidity. High quality, but a little simple right now. This needs several more years to show its stuff. 89-90

Notes from day 2. Dark purple to black in color. Nose not as strong as I recall of black cherry, a little blackberry, vanilla, little coffee, and smoke at the back. Palate of dark black cherry, some vanilla from the oak, cedar, some coffee grounds going on, smoke and tannin still present. Finish was above average to long in length, good balance for a forward wine. Overall decent showing, but this really needs more time for the oak to take …

wow, this was a shockingly good wine as well. Solid big fruity nose that open and opened. If there had been some caremel or sugar on the nose to balance our the ride, this would be 95 pointer. Body was likewise big and bold.

Meaty, smoky, peppery, nice fruit layered over top of large slathery meaty flavors. Nice wine. Charlie need to make more of this.
