On the nose: a mix of red and black fruits, vanilla, oak, roasted red pepper, cassis, black olive; medium+ intensity. On the palate: quite full-bodied with a nice aromatic structure; the finish is notably sweet, though the sweetness comes from the fruit. Oak and tannins are quite pronounced, with the oak slightly overpowering. The body doesn’t fully balance the oak influence. While it could pair well with food, the sweetness and prominent oak somewhat disturb the overall balance.
