We opened this wine about 2 hours before drinking and immediately sensed its great aromas. The nose showed leather, marzipan and candy and was very enticing. The palate was complex, chewy and meaty, more strawberry flan than fresh strawberries, with a huge length. A great wine, appearing to be at its best right now.
2004 vintage
