Daniel Jung Sylvaner Vieilles Vignes

Pale gold. Nose of fermenting apples, honey, mushroom and earth. It's dry but has a honeyed flavour with apple and a mineral streak on the finish. This is drinkable but only just, it's past its best.

Pale green, nose quite muted. The palate is round, crunchy apricot fruit with a dry, slightly sour finish. Very good for the price.

Light gold on the eye, nose is quite closed, mineral, the palate is soft, fresh, got some honeyed character. Acidity softens out, really good, perhaps the best Sylvaner I have ever tasted but can't claim to have tasted loads of them!
