Opaque crimson in color, this full-bodied, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (from the original clone 7) offers ripe aromas and flavors of blackberries, currants, raisins and pickling spice. With low-to-medium acidity, well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%), soft tannins and the correct amount of oak (French and American), it stays solid in the middle and finishes with medium length. This is an enjoyable Cab but is a bit overripe for my palate. Drink now-2023.

Very dark purple to a slight orange/purple rim Intense fresh grape fruit on the nose. Not much else. As odd as it sounds, this wine is far more grape-juice tasting than it should be. It's almost like a concord grape juice with alcohol added. There is some tannin toward the back end of the palate, but otherwise disturbingly juicy. No real finish to speak of. Not at all what I expected, but certainly drinkable.
