[Part of a Loire vs. Beaujolais gamay comparison - other wine was 2007 Jean François Mérieau Touraine Les Bois Jacou.] At first, the nose was black cherries, incense, and garbage (like rotting vegetation). After some air it got more focused and turned into a simple, but enjoyable drink of black and red cherry, cranberry, and earth. Acidity was on the front-end. Tart, but not overly acidic. Light, yet there's a fairly round mouthfeel. The alcohol was a bit noticeable unfortunately. …

A good solid beaujolais. A mild fruity nose of lighter red fruit. A fairly well balanced fresh fruit palate with virtually no tannins. I nice lingering finish of raspberry and plum. At its best when slightly chilled.
