Howlin' Gale Wines Shiraz Force 10 Reserve

Screwcap. Soft nose, with ripe black fruit (blackberry, black cherry), pencil shavings, star anise, and paprika. Palate shows concentrated, juicy flavours of blackberry, cherry, raspberry, prune, and pepper. Structure is starting to unwind, but still shows strong, smooth tannins and bright acidity (which balances the concentrated fruit). Alcohol is very high, but well-integrated: warm but not harsh.
