Still drinking well but has seemed to lost a bit of intensity. Deck plum, soft acidity, and a smooth finish.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cherry and bark. It tastes like blackberry, alcohol/hot, lead pencil, bark, bark, bark and bark. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Garnet/purple color. Nose: blackberry cobbler, blueberry, and blackcurrant with accents of mocha, graham cracker, dates, hazelnut, and licorice. Full body on the palate: blackberry cobbler, crushed blueberry, and blackcurrant framed by mocha, black olive, crushed rock, molasses, licorice, and black tea. Medium acidity. Moderate/firm tannins. Lingering black olive, crushed rock, black tea, and licorice on the long finish. Big, strapping Merlot with serious structure and earthy complexity. Cellar for 2-3 years and drink over the following 10 years.
